See class times and tutorsYear 11 and Year 12
This course is for Year 11 and Year 12 Maths Advanced students who want their study to lead to better exam results. You might follow examples in class but get stuck when trying a question yourself. You might also be doing well and want help with harder questions or mistakes that cost you marks.
Your tutor checks how you reached an answer so you know exactly what went wrong. That could mean fixing an algebra mistake, learning when to use a formula or reading the question more carefully. You then practise similar questions until you can use the method on your own.
Classes are held in person at our Epping centre. Choose your class in the booking form. We will confirm your place and first lesson after you book.

How we help you improve
Your tutor explains the idea and works through an example with you. You then try questions yourself, with help where you need it. We show you why a method works and when to use it so you can apply what you have learnt in an exam.
Understand how equations, graphs and calculations describe the same problem. Learn what differentiation and integration tell you, when to use them and how to show your working clearly.
Practise reading questions about chance and data, choosing the right calculation and explaining what your answer means. Learn to check that you have answered the question being asked.
Find the mistakes that keep costing you marks and practise checking for them. Work through questions from different topics under time limits so you can decide how long to spend on each part.
Weekly lessons and exam practice
Each week, your tutor explains the topic, works through examples and helps you practise questions. A timed quiz checks what you remember and what still needs work. You also receive feedback on homework and sit a supervised exam each term. This gives you regular chances to fix mistakes before your school assessments and HSC exams.

An example from our study guides
A geometric sequence has first term 12 and common ratio 1.5. Find its fourth term and the sum of its first four terms.
Start with 12 and multiply by 1.5 each time. The first four terms are 12, 18, 27 and 40.5, so the fourth term is 40.5. To find the sum, add all four terms: 12 + 18 + 27 + 40.5 = 97.5.
If you got 60.75 for the fourth term, you multiplied once too many. The first term is already 12, so you only need three multiplications to reach the fourth term. Checking a mistake like this helps you understand what to do differently next time. Our full guide includes the formulas and another worked example.
