At Plume, we turn your effort into marks. Our HSC exam specialists help you understand Economics and explain it clearly in short answers and essays. See class times and tutorsYear 11 and Year 12
This course is for Year 11 and Year 12 Economics students who want better results from their study. You might remember definitions but struggle to explain how an economic change affects people and businesses. You might also write good answers but need help using evidence or making a stronger argument.
Your tutor reads your answers to find out what is missing. You may need to explain another step, include a relevant statistic, draw a diagram or answer the question more directly. You then practise making those improvements so you know how to earn the marks you are missing.
Classes are held in person at our Epping centre. Choose your class in the booking form. We will confirm your place and first lesson after you book.

An example from our study guides
An answer might say: higher interest rates lower inflation because people spend less. To explain this properly, you need to show whose spending changes and why that can affect prices.
When a household's mortgage repayments rise and its income stays the same, it has less money left to spend on goods and services. If many households reduce their spending, total spending in the economy, called aggregate demand, falls. This can reduce the pressure for prices to rise.
This version explains the steps between repayments, spending and prices. It also makes the assumption about income clear. A fuller answer would explain that households are affected differently and that some repayments take time to change. Our essay guide shows how to develop the explanation and support your argument.
